FARMER BROWN THA' MC

Farmer Brown Tha' MC is a Hip-Hop themed educational program designed to entertain, engage, and educate elementary and middle school students in urban & rural schools and communities in the important fields of agriculture and natural sciences.  The goal of this program is the present this information in the a culturally identifiable way early to make students aware of the many academic, career, and personal opportunities available in these fields.

Disperse information regarding Ag and economics, academic and career paths, and modern agricultural production practices (traditional and  Urban farming)

Establish broader consumer awareness and promotion for current Black farmers and producers through innovative Agricultural marketing, programming, and event based learning

 

Desired outcome:

Greater participation and market share for African American producers and merchants in agricultural sector as primary operators and key stakeholders

Increase number of AA's and underrepresented groups going into agriculture as a career or investment

Sustainable and healthy community and workforce development
